A Custom Test Type is any Test Type that saves files of any format, and this as opposed to raw data as in audiometry or rhinometry.  The saved files can be e.g. .docx files or pdf, but also images such as .jpeg, .tiff, .png, or also .pptx or .xlsx and even videos.

A result appears as a line in the grid and can contain 1 single file or also several files bundled into a "Multidoc".

The files can either be entered manually via the upload or copy/paste function or via one of Audiqueen's built-in modules (Easy File Fetcher, Multimedia Capture, Text Editor, Draw), see below for more details.

Multidoc

A Multidoc is a result that contains multiple documents.  In Audiqueen's graphical area, a "Show All" button appears below the image of the Multidoc.

When clicked, a panel appears with the document thumbnails on the left (A)
and the full document corresponding to the selected thumbnail on the right (B).

How to enter or upload documents/files in a Custom Test?

  • Manual entry

Files are entered manually via the Manual Input button in the ribbon.

Then the Multidoc pannel appears with 2 buttons (see also the corresponding FAQ).  One button serves to search for a document on the computer via the browser and load it into Audiqueen.  The other button serves to load a document previously copied in Window's browser.

  • Document entry by means of a built-in module

If you have configured a custom test with one of Audiqueen's built-in modules (see the support page on creating Custom Tests), you can generate a document using the New Measurement button.  This appears in the ribbon ...

...and also at the bottom of the Multidoc pannel (A).  This Multidoc pannel also always includes a button to create a document with the built-in Text Editor (B).

Built-in Custom Tests

Audiqueen comes with a number of built-in custom tests, each using one of the built-in modules to fetch and save a file.  See this support page to find out how to enable (show) or disable (hide) these test types.

How to use the built-in modules?

Built-in modules ("Measuring Apparatus/Software") can be used to let Audiqueen seamlessly retrieve and store files and documents created by other apps.  A module can be chosen and configured for each Custom Test Type.  This is done when creating the Custom Test Type and can always be changed via the Format button in the ribbon.

Follow these steps to change the module to retrieve and save documents or files in Custom Test Types:

1. Select the Custom Test Type
2. Click on Format
3. Uncheck the Manual Input Only checkbox
4. Select the module

==================================

Note: Files stored in Audiqueen differ from raw numeric data, such as audiometry, speech audiometry, rhino(mano)metry, etc.  Audiqueen can calculate an index from raw data, Audiqueen Analytics can use raw data in search functions, etc.  With files, this is not possible.  But Audiqueen allows you to add your own numeric or alphanumeric data to your files, e.g. the latency times of ABR peaks.  That additional data is called 'synopsis' data, can be created as you choose and can then be used as an index or also in Audiqueen Analytics.

This feature is not available in the web viewer.
Audiqueen's web viewer displays the results entered in Audiqueen's Workstations.
