Can I hide the normative data on the audiogram?

Modified on Thu, 25 Apr at 3:28 PM

Audiqueen displays the normal zone (grey zone) and normal median hearing level thresholds (thin grey line) depending on the age and sex of the patient. The standard used for frequencies between 125 and 8000 Hz is ISO 7029-2000, based on the specification for the threshold of hearing by air conduction as a function of age and sex for otologically normal persons.

For higher frequencies, there are no ISO standards.  As an aternative, Audiqueen can show the normal zone as described in Rodríguez Valiente A, Trinidad A, García Berrocal JR, Górriz C, and Ramírez Camacho R. (2014).  Extended high-frequency (9–20 kHz) audiometry reference thresholds in 645 healthy subjects, International Journal of Audiology, 53:8, 531-545.

In addition, the user can add overlays to his/her own discretion, as explained in this FAQ page.

Audiqueen automatically adapts the graph to the age of the patient shown.
