Interacoustic audiometers can be controlled by proprietary software (Affinity Suite, Diagnostics Suite, ...).
See our support page on calibration first.
Set to SPL
It is recommended to set the suite to SPL. See this support page for more information.
Connect audio cables
Connect your PC's soundcard with an audio cable to the line-in input of the audiometer
Calibration
- Open OTOSuite. Make sure it is connected to the audiometer
- Set Otosuite to Speech
- Be sure that the channel is 'Continuous ON' and the stimulus is set to 'Line In'
- Open Audiqueen. Select the Speech test type or any other A§E test and click on new measurement.
- Be sure that 'Audiometer' is selected and press the calibration button
- In step 1, select the correct Windows soundcard that makes your VU meter in Otosuite detect sound. This might be a standard soundcard that is connected to your audiometer through an audio cable, but it might also be one of the soundcards that contain the name of Audiometer. In OTOSuite, select 'line-in' as input.
- In step 2, play the calibration signal & check in OTOSUITE what the VU meter is showing
- The audiometer should be having 0dB in the VU meter. If not, have your audiometer adjusted so that it is calibrated with the VU meter input level to 0 when playing the calibration signal in Audiqueen/A§E.
Play Test
- After a successful calibration, you can test within Audiqueen
- Open OTOSuite. Make sure it is connected to the audiometer
- Set to Speech
- Be sure that the channel is 'Continuous ON' and the stimulus is set to 'Line In'
- Configure the audiometer in OTOSuite so that the correct ear and transducer is set
- Set the output in Otosuite to the level that is instructed by Audiqueen and start your A§E test in Audiqueen.
- When Audiqueen asks to put the output level to 90dB, please do so in OTOSuite.
- After closing Audiqueen, you can also close OTOSuite.
