When A§E cannot start up because of the error in the title or the following error:
Then there might be something wrong with one of the settings files.
Go to each of following locations, open them with notepad and check if the files are empty. If a file seems to be empty, rename or delete it.
Windows Vista / 7 / 8 / 8.1:
C:\ProgramData\Otoconsult\Asse\Settings
C:\Users\ "User" \AppData\Local\Otoconsult\Asse\Settings
Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Otoconsult\Asse\SettingsC:\Documents and Settings\ "User" \Local Settings\Application Data\Otoconsult\Asse\Settings
The file name can vary between Asse.Machine.Settings, Asse.LocalUser.Settings and Asse.Machine.Settings.
After checking the files, check if the process Asse.exe is still running in the task manager. If so, close the process.
Open A§E again.
It might be that some settings of A§E are lost, check your A§E settings so that you can fully function again.
