The minimum requirements for using A§E are:

Windows 7 or higher
For soundcards it is not obvious to set a quality criteria. A 70 dB S/N ratio is essential, which most soundcards should comply.
Using the default soundcard of the computer/laptop is not a problem, but be aware that sounds from other programs might also be played through this device.
